On November 2, 2015, with the approval of the State Council, the Nanning Bonded Logistics Center temporarily under the administration of Nanning High-tech Zone was officially transformed and upgraded into Nanning Comprehensive Bonded Zone, with a total planned area of 2.37 square kilometers, divided into two blocks. Connected by closed overhead bridges, it mainly develops bonded processing, bonded logistics, bonded services and other businesses. Nanning Comprehensive Bonded Zone implements closed management, and after passing the acceptance inspection, it enjoys the relevant tax and foreign exchange management policies of the current comprehensive bonded zone. On December 22, 2009, Nanning Bonded Logistics Center passed the formal acceptance of the national joint acceptance team to realize customs closure operation. However, the previous single bonded logistics function fails to meet the development requirements. This successful upgrading not only consolidates the status of Nanning Comprehensive Bonded Zone as the largest "dry port" in Southwest China, but also boosts the rapid development of Nanning's export-oriented economy.
